I have played the Wedgwood Cornet for the past eight years in the Symphony Orchestra and in recitals. It is capable of producing truly trombone like bottom notes when required, and is safe to top concert 'D' with a regular cornet mouthpiece. Surprisingly the 'through blowing' valve system actually facilitates super pianissimo playing across the range.

The Wedgwood trumpet offers the free-est blowing characteristics shop of any trumpet I have ever played. The revolutionary full-flow valve block makes this instrument incredibly flexible in technical passages and very smooth in sustained legato phrases.

The instrument responds instantly in pp playing and will accept anything and everthing you can give it in ff. It has a large warm sound with just enough edge to make this everybody's ideal instrument

I have used the Wedgwood trumpet in large works such as Elektra and Turandot and it is equally at home in The Barber of Seville and Donizetti operas. Its lyrical sound is also well-suited to small groups.
