What is Instagram Reels?

It's a whole new way to create short, fun, and interactive content on Instagram.

This format currently works in more than 50 countries around the world, including users in Slovakia. You can easily find out if you have this feature - when creating a story, you will see a "filmstrips" box in the buy phone number list bottom bar next to the "story" function.

Just like TikTok, Instagram allows you to record and edit short music videos and share them on your profile. The difference is that TikTok allows you to add up to a minute of video. Instagram allows 15 to 30 seconds.

Your reels will also appear in the “explore page” (search results) and will also appear on your profile in bookmarks - that's where you have your own posts, as well as posts where you are tagged, or your IGTV videos.

Instagram reels have their own section where you can search for them, in the search results. Yours will also appear there - to whom and when, it is decided by an algorithm that shows content to users based on what they view most often and interact with the most.

You can find Reels by clicking on the “search results” section. It’s the first, square video that offers the largest preview and is also the gateway to all of Instagram’s reels. You can tell by the little video icon in the bottom left.
