However, the speed of achieving results and the scale of transformation depend on the specifics of a particular enterprise. Therefore, each enterprise must adapt digitalization according to its needs and capabilities.
With the development of innovations, entire new industries and individual special database business areas have been formed. Digitalization puts pressure on enterprises, requiring them to invest. Leaders need to develop long-term plans, set clear transformation objectives, and form a “roadmap” and business case.
The dynamics, taking into account statistics, show positive trends. More than half of the companies understand the seriousness of the changes and have already developed a digital transformation program. Most of them aim to implement this program in the next few years, and 25% of companies plan to complete it within a year.
Market leaders are actively recruiting the necessary digital competencies and implementing planned pilots. For example, only 12% of enterprises in Western Europe have started to seriously use big data analytics, while machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions are already used in most industries on a limited set of processes.
What does this mean for employees?
As digitalization increases, so do the demands on employees. Today, it is important to have skills in working with modern technologies, be able to analyze large amounts of data, and understand the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Therefore, the question arises: how to prepare for the new demands of the labor market.
